  • Abstract
This paper offered a new service model of spatial information-G/S model through analyzing the deficiency and the service requirement of spatial information of the current model of C/S and B/S, which is geo-browser/spatial information server, and it gave a detailed discussion for its framework at the same time. It also offered and designed hyper graphics marked language-HGML based on G/S model, giving us the content of HGML of basic spatial objects or entities, and discussed the server load balance about its process of establishment and implement of the new model briefly. Finally, the paper introduced an applied example of digital tourism, and got the conclusion that this model has more obvious advantage than the other two models in data organization, network transmission, data visualization and spatial analysis. The author hopes that the G/S model will be useful for the establishment of the ldquoDigital Chinardquo project in the future.
