Abstract
E-plane circuit techniques have been shown to be suitable for realising millimetric components for frequencies from 27 to 140 GHz. This paper describes the use of this technology for a portable radio link equipment for use in the 27.5 to 29.5 GHz band. This equipment is being developed for full colour visual teleconferencing from customers´ premises and for private data and telephony circuits. The microwave transceiver is believed to be the most advanced example of E-plane integration so far reported.
