Abstract
The paper describes a method of steering a beam in two dimensions using a pair of dielectric wedges placed in front of an antenna. Theoretical studies show that beam steering can be achieved together with a slight improvement in the sidelobe level. Measured results are presented which confirm the predicted results for those sidelobes which are close to the main beam, but there are discrepancies for large angles. These are thought to be due to multiple reflections inside the wedges.
