Abstract
A simple calibration technique for use in dual six-port automatic network analyzers is presented. The calibration of each six-port with four standards (sliding load, short, two offset shorts) is combined with a "thru" self-calibration technique, which determines the scattering characteristics of the sixport measurement setup. An error correction procedure is used, eliminating the need of ideal six-ports for high precision measurements.
