  • Abstract
In the pre-hospital first aid, rapid response which runs through the ldquoentire green channelrdquo, including reasonable dispatch and timely knowing of the route of the scene before departure, is no doubt the foundation of the success treatment. This paper presents a case study of using advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) and geographical information systems (GIS) technologies to provide dynamic dispatch functionalities Our results show that people-oriented GPS/GIS technologies play an important role in enhancing the quality of first aid activities to protect the people´s health.
