Abstract :
GaAs MMICs are contenders to lower the price and to open the mass-production way of 12 GHz DBS downconverters. LEP** and other laboratories have demonstrated the feasibility of multichip or single chip DBS receivers. This paper shows that it is now the time to improve the design for reducing circuit size, to fix a technology for production and to develop testing techniques.
