Abstract :
TRIZ two stage analogy process includes two mappings, from domain problem to TRIZ special solution and from TRIZ special solution to domain solution. Unexpected discovery (UXD) is the key factors to trigger designers to generate new ideas for domain solution. The concept of UXD and the application of UXD in analogy based design (ABD) are introduced. TRIZ analogy process is different from traditional analogy. Application of UXD in TRIZ analogy process is studied. An UXD driven TRIZ analogy process is formed. A case study illustrates the TRIZ two stage analogy process.
