Abstract :
This study investigates how companies integrate their supply bases after mergers or acquisitions. Findings from two cases are reported. The first describes an acquisition in the automotive industry and the second examines a merger in the pharmaceutical industry. Key issues with supply base design and opportunities for future research are discussed.
