Abstract :
In the article the methodological potential of socionics for investigating a nation´s mentality is considered. From the viewpoint of socionics - in the basis of mentality lie mental functions which build a specific system $sociotype. The authors interpret Russian social/national character as intuitive-ethical introvert (IEI). The social-psychological characteristic of IEI is provided.
