Abstract :
The 3DHeartview project produced an advanced prototype of a system capable of modeling 3D cardiac structures, based on a single sequence of clinical angiographic X-rays, that can be used as an add-on to any modern digital angiography system. The system´s accuracy has been measured, and our approach has been used in many real patient cases in a clinical routine environment. In this paper, we present the main features of the system, the methodology of 3D angiographical modeling, and certain testing and operation results. We also describe the application of high-performance computing (HPC) technology in the modeling process
