Abstract
Some tasks call for to produce electromagnetic field with the desired spatial properties at the distance from aperture, commensurate with their geometric dimensions. The paper discusses the most important of the properties of electromagnetic field, focused in this area of space. Scopes for the principles of focusing to active and passive radio-wave and acoustic Diagnostics, microwave application and radio communications are discussed.
