Abstract :
In order to further increase the power density of power factor correction (PFC) converter, a structure of passive integration is proposed by combining EMI filter and Boost inductor in one magnetic component for PFC converters in this paper. For saving the space of passive components, flexible multi-layer (FML) foils are used for integrating Common Mode (CM) inductor, CM capacitor, Differential Mode (DM) inductor, DM capacitor, and Boost inductor. In this passive integration, the boost inductor, the L-type CM filter and the π-type DM filter are constructed respectively.
