Abstract :
To protect large data loss due to network failures, network survivability methods are offered by providing backup paths. Even though many challenges for network survivability, they did not consider network resources of each area efficiently and quality of service (QoS) of connections. In addition, any standardized area-division method was not suggested yet. In this paper, the property of each area (PA) technique is proposed. The PA provides the dividing algorithm to divide the whole network from source to destination into several smaller areas and provides threshold-based (TB) scheme to guarantee QoS of connections by constructing the threshold when the area has sufficient network resources. To evaluate this technique, simulations are fulfilled.
