Abstract :
The Loess Plateau is well known to the world for its severe soil erosion. Check-dam is one of the most effective measures in water and soil conservation in this region. Traditional check-dam planning and management involves a lot of staffs, and the working process is time-consuming. To solve these problems, a Collaborative DGIS Framework is introduced into this working process to facilitate check-dam planning and management. Working staff such as field investigation engineers, technical engineers and decision-making experts etc can cooperate together in a cost-effective manner under this collaborative framework. This research demonstrates this innovative collaborative DGIS framework can improve the engineering of check-dam planning and management effectively.
