Abstract :
In this paper, a class of filters with circular templates is studied for visual enhancement of spiculated lesions in digital X-ray mammograms. The filter is based on the Linear Circumnavigation Filter (LCF). It uses a disk shape of arbitrary width with the one pixel wide LCF. It can also be used to enhance other types of lesions
