Abstract :
College urban forest not only can improve the campus environment and provide a comfortable and relaxing space, but also make a significant contribution to the whole functions of ecosystem services for the urban forest. This paper took the west campus of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) for example, the authors carried out a comprehensive survey of trees and non-tree elements from height of tree, DBH, crown diameter, health status, community structure and species diversity, and made a systematic analysis for the campus forest structure. From the level structure, there are 24 species belong to 22 genera, 18 families; the dominant species are Cinnamomum camphora (L.) Presl., Platanus orientalis L., Opsmanthus fragrans Lours, Metasequoia glyptostroboides and Magnolia grandiflora linn. Different road presents differences in species diversity, the distribution of trees represents characteristics as decentralized point-the road line-local surface-interwoven network. From the vertical structure, the ratio of the three grades in tree height is 4:5:6; DBH structure of the study area is reasonable; the ratio of the three grades is 10:33:27. The vegetation coverage is 38.31%, of which nearly 50% of the community structure belongs to type 3, arbor-hard paved structure and most of the species are healthy.
