Abstract
A teenage girl who loves to watch TV, listen to current music, and watch tapes of her favorite movies cannot do these simple things. Since she can only communicate to the outside world via a computer interfaced wheelchair mounted head switch, she requires assistance to operate these devices from others. The Computerized Environmental Remote Control now places the operation of all these entertainment devices directly on her computer via a point and click dialog box GUI. The computer controls specially built infrared modules for each appliance using RF switch boxes. Available are all current remote control codes for TVs, VCRs and stereos
