Abstract
This study addresses the issue of a low-dispersive and low-dissipative scheme for the simulation of sound wave propagation. We examine the analysis for sound wave propagation by the GCIP (7, 1) method, also called Heptic Interpolation Profile (HIP) Method. The numerical results demonstrate that the numerical dissipation in the HIP analysis is little generated, and that slight phase error of the HIP and CIP results are generated.
