  • Abstract
The Lafarge Harleyville South Carolina plant has been in operation for over 30 years. During that time there have been a number of changes in ownership, as well as several upgrade projects resulting in a modern plant that produces about one million tonnes of quality product each year. This paper gives a brief history of the plant, and describe the various stages of the current cement-making process. The use of alternative fuels at the plant were also discussed.
