  • Abstract
Based on energy consumption changes from 1978 to 2008, The relationship among energy consumption, economic growth, CO2 emission and regional air quality is discussed in all of industries and different areas in China. They are related. The reduction potentials of CO2 and air Particulate Matter emission in these provinces and industries are calculated. Technology progress, the industry structure and energy structure adjustment are Solutions to saving energy and reducing air pollutant emission under the constraints of socio-economic goals and environmental targets, which contribute to the emission cut by 29%, 15%and 33% respectively.
