Abstract :
In remote areas, lack of electric power is a hindrance to economic growth and social development. Several projects, education, health care, telecommunication and other limited services can fail without energy. One of these limited services is discussed in this paper. This paper presents the practical solution to feed the electrical load of a library that located in a remote area. This healthy library serves the environment and gives a new idea for the usage of renewable energy for the third millennium. A photovoltaic power system is designed to meet specific demand whether small or large. This is an independent power system based on photovoltaics, a technology converting solar daylight into electric current. In remote areas, it offers an extremely economic solution to power problems. This technology requires very little maintenance and operation. Also, to realize more economic application, the conventional elements of the building envelope (roof tiles, roof cladding, facade elements, windows, shading devices etc.) are considered in the PV modules of designed system, taking into consideration optimal inclination and orientation
