Abstract
A model has been developed for circuit characterization of stripline circulators, which is based on the eigenvalues of the impedance matrix of a three port, cyclic symmetric, non-reciprocal disk resonator. This model can be easily included in computer-aided procedures for the design of broad band circulators, in particular in case of multioctave devices (recently proposed in literature), where the minimum frequency is less than the magnetization frequency of the ferrite medium. Examples of design obtained including the model in Touchstone software are presented.
