Abstract
It is shown that the mark pattern and size become very important factors, not only when the observation is done beyond the diffraction limit, but also when amplifying super-RENS effect. The results are also important because one-dimensional photonic crystal in a very local area can easily be fabricated and obtained by optical recording at very high speeds without electron beam nor lithographic technique. Closing or growing a light scattering center like Ag clusters in the AgO/sub x/ layer, the super-RENS system will work as photonic devices, such as optical switches and transistors.
