Abstract
The 13.7 m radome covered antenna at Metsÿhovi has been used for SIRIO and OTS propagation measurements at 11.6 GHz. In this report the impact of a wet radome on measured radiation patterns has been compared with the theoretical patterns obtained using physical optics. The study has been carried out for both horizontal and vertical polarizations. The attenuation during precipitation has been measured and compared with theoretical calculations using different water layer distributions.
