Abstract
This paper presents the sizing and optimal placement of renewable based distributed generation (DG) on distribution power systems. A real distribution system is studied for an eventual renewable based DG integration. The study considers distributed generation sizing in accordance with total power loss and voltage stability assessment through the application of the voltage stability index on real distribution network. It aims to identify the optimal node in order to integrate DG. The steady-state load flow analysis was based according to Newton-Raphson´s load flow analysis, and illustrates the evolution of the voltage profile and power contribution of the DG into Algerian distribution system of the region of Djanet for several load scenarios.
