Abstract
On the basis of fuzzy set theory, a method for feedback control of a motion system is introduced. In this method, the control variables and applied control forces are modeled as fuzzy sets which are represented by angular fuzzy set model. The angular fuzzy set model represents linguistic values through an angle between a straight line and horizontal line, and can be applied to fuzzy logic modus ponens deduction techniques. The advantage of this model is illustrated by the procedure of generating the fuzzy controller and simulated results of a pendulum system
