Abstract :
After a ten-year-period of introduction, live line working (LLW) by “hot-stick” method is generally used in the Hungarian 20 kV distribution networks. However, utilization is below the expected level. In the fast changing political and economic life of Central Europe, wider utilization of LLW is expected, and the electrical utilities are preparing to meet customers´ demands. New methods should be introduced, certain organizations are being re-structured, and new types of equipment are needed
