Abstract :
A SPICE compatible GTO modular macromodel is presented. The macromodel accurately simulates all the main GTO characteristics (such as controlled gate operation, anode, cathode and gate current and voltage waveforms, etc.). Model accuracy is proved comparing real and simulated data taken from a single capacitor snubber in an inverter circuit
