  • Abstract
    Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) for variable speed wind turbines can capture more wind power. However active power and the reactive power have coupling characteristic to affect performance of conventional control. A multivariable predictive functional control (MPFC) based first-order model are proposed for doubly fed induction generator. Models the DFIG in d-q reference frame is given and are transferred first-order mode. The control law is optimized to obtain based multivariable first-order system. Decoupling task is part of MPFC algorithm. MPFC performances compared with PI with reference tracking and parametric robustness are carried out. Results show MPFC has rapid response and better robustness.
