Abstract :
In this paper, we have presented a case study and implemented an online fault diagnosis scheme through parameter estimation to a belt conveyor system. Fault indicators are derived from the bond graph model and fault signatures are obtained algorithmically. Thereafter, the model is simulated with parametric fault in some components, and then faulty component is isolated through parameter estimation from analytical redundancy relations (ARR) derived from the model. A singularity problem in estimation of belt stiffness coefficient is exposed, which is solved by designing integral form of ARR.
