Abstract
We present an influence of the uncertainty in positional accuracy of area feature in area value. Area feature is bounded by closed linear feature, which is a composition of point feature with defined uncertainty in position. One of the determining factors in calculating an uncertainty of area value of feature is an index of compatibility of area feature. Index of compatibility determines the shape of the area feature. We treat an area of the uniform and non-uniform epsiv of the confidence region around the linear feature as well. Especially for uniform error band we define a regress function of dependence of area value of confidence region and shape of the area feature and epsiv. In the article we define a shape of the confidence region and also calculation of its area. We concern a normal distribution function of random errors. Result of our research is a suggestion of defining a positional accuracy of linear and area feature in context of data quality definition in ISO 19100 series of standards for geographic information
