Abstract :
In this paper, we present a battery-less, miniaturized, low power, bi-directional telemetry system that can be used for real-time measurements of in vivo pressure and temperature of gastrointestinal (GI) tract. These two parameters have potential application for use in remote biological sensing. The wireless power transmission system consists of a transmitting coil powered by class E amplifier, and three-dimensional receiving coil, rectifier, and voltage regulator, which operating at 13.56 MHz located in ISM band. The RF carrier frequency of data transmission is also located in ISM band (433.92 MHz). The structure of the whole monitoring system is discussed. Finally, experiments show that the whole monitoring system can work properly in the tissue-simulating fluid and has the great potential application for use in the clinic diagnosis.
