Abstract
Technical communicators are in demand because professionals in other countries want to learn about the techniques used in document production and information processing. Teaching a course to a foreign language audience demands careful and thoughtful preparation, a knowledge of the culture of the host country, skill in speaking through a translator, the ability to be flexible and adjust readily to unexpected conditions, and the willingness to research and understand the audience´s needs and expectations
