Abstract
The Revised IEEE Standard 519/1922 places new emphasis on the reduction of line harmonics related to adjustable frequency drives. This paper compares different approaches for line harmonic abatement including a focus on telephone influence factor. Principles and solutions for the prospects of high frequency effects on motors used on the output of PWM inverters are also presented. The discussion is developed using analysis simulations and data gathered from installed equipment
