  • Abstract
    Japanese Engineering Test Satellite-V (ETS-V) realized an experimental mobile satellite communication system with mobile stations such as ships, aircraft and land mobiles. The transponder which uses L-band for the mobile link on ETS-V is called AMEX(Aeronautical Maritime Experimental Transponder). This article reviews the outlines of AMEX, the characteristics of major components, EMC design and the checkout result on orbit.
