Abstract
Extracting the features from geospatial data and modeling and roaming these features have become a wide application in digital city. In the traditional approach to achieve the whole scope of the 3D terrain virtual roaming, modeling is a large and time-consuming workload. In this paper a fast and feasible solution for modeling and roaming of terrain and culture features is proposed. It mainly concerns how to fast and semiautomatically create the models, which based on the aerial image ,DEM and the vector data of the culture feature. A roaming design is also proposed by adopting OSG (open scene graph). Experiment showed that the process of modeling and roaming is timesaving and easy to implement.
