Abstract
Dimensional modeling and object-orientation have become growing interest areas. In this work we present an UML representation to the dimensional model explaining this language and its concepts, besides the utilization of the class diagram to the notation of the dimensional model. The UML model is mapped to the object-oriented database through the ODMG standard and validated in the cache post-relational database. Our approach synthesizes the stages sequence to the dimensional model development from the operational model, its posterior representation in the UML extension and finally its mapping.
