  • Abstract
    Most anti-seepage body of the earthrock dams which built on the infinite deep pervious foundation are horizontal blanket and vertical cut-off wall as the finite deep foundation´s. It could only take the hanging vertical cutoff wall to control the seepage, but the effect will not distinctness if the hanging vertical cutoff wall is not deep enough in this way. It will costly and difficult to construct if we do them, the horizontal blanket is easy to construct and economy. But if the length of horizontal blanket is equal to the depth of vertical cut-off wall, the effect of the former will not do as well as the latter one. This paper is mainly compare the anti-seepage effects and the advantage and disadvantage of the horizontal blanket to the vertical anti seepage wall by set mathematics models to calculate it, using a model experimentation to validate it, set an end to it. And the theoretic and the experiment are validated to each other.
