Abstract
A method for replacing transmission lines used in traditional microwave circuits with lumped inductor and capacitor components will be given. To demonstrate this, a Wilkinson power splitter was designed. These circuits were fabricated measured and tested. A significant circuit size reduction was demonstrated. The effects of the parasitics in the lumped element were also taken into consideration. This method is very useful when using microwave circuits in ICs or PCBs.
