  • Abstract
Modified USLE Model coupled with RS and GIS was for the first time used in Longquanhe basin of Huaihai hilly region, the relationship between erosion pattern and its influencing factors was mainly studied in order to provide reference for the universality of USLE Model as well as the research of prevention measures of soil erosion in Huaihai hilly region. Following conclusions can be made base on the study. 1) average soil loss in study area is moderate, 2) soil erosion is strongly influenced by terrain factor, 3) differences among various land use patterns are obvious, severe and complex pattern of soil erosion are mainly caused by irrational land use structure. The study can provide not only reliable basis and reference for study of soil loss with USLE but also considerable help for universality of model.
