Abstract :
This study addresses the issue of large-scale simulations of sound wave propagation. We examine a hybrid technique combining FDTD method and CIP method. The handling of the boundary between the FDTD domain and the CIP domain is considered in this study. The numerical results demonstrate that the hybrid FDTD-CIP analysis provides higher accuracy concerning phase than conventional FDTD analysis. The proposed method is very effective for large-scale simulations.
