Abstract
New configurations of nonreciprocal devices with vertical magnetization are investigated. The structures proposed base on a new distributed phenomenon consisting in the nonreciprocal response to the even or odd mode excitation of the identical coupled ferrite lines with vertical magnetization (CFL¿). The scattering matrix of a section of CFL¿ is derived and used to model the transmission characteristics of possible 4 and 3 port circulators and an isolator. Since the new effect occurs even for weakly magnetized ferrites the novel structures are particularly suitable for millimetre wave applications.
