How to teach engineering students to become better writers

The author presents some ways in which engineering students can be encouraged to become effective communicators regardless of what has been said about engineers not being able to write. It is the responsibility of colleges of engineering, rather than English departments, to offer engineering majors instruction and practice in writing for the world of work
