Abstract :
We summarize some efficient techniques and methods which have been developed for high rate multi-media wireless communications. The overall structure of a wireless cellular system which provides integrated services is proposed. Spread spectrum DS-CDMA and modified ATM techniques are chosen to support the system. Efficient signalling and error control coding methods are investigated. The capacity of the DS-CDMA system supporting mixed traffic is evaluated
