Abstract :
This microwave data link consists of a fixed transceiver station and a mobile part without an active power source. During the short time when both microwave planar antennas are opposite to each other the powered fixed station delivers the RF drive signal for the parametric down-converter working as a self-heterodyning mixer and the necessary RF power converted to DC power supply for data memory, digital data preparation and modulation in the mobil unit. All the components of this station are gathered in a very flat small robust housing on the sides of vehicles up to a speed of 400 km/h.
