            Abstract :
Strange hydrodynamic and electrical effects in dielectric liquids in an electric field are considered. Attention is given to the paradox of high level ion injection, quasi-stationary DC and electroconvection in a system of open/closed electrodes, the paradox of electroconvection in a plane capacitor (where stable charge distribution creates the electrohydrodynamic (EHD) flow), microelectroconvection, and dimples on a charged interface
