Abstract
The zero-vector configurations have great influence on the performance of the practical implemented space vector modulated AC-DC matrix converter (MC). In this paper, the optimized switching pattern that reduces the output inductor current ripple and the narrow pulses is presented. The optimal zero-vector duty cycles for different switching patterns are derived based on the output inductor current ripple analysis. Further considering the commutation, the relationship of the duty cycles and the narrow pulses are discussed, and then the segmental optimized switching pattern is proposed. The proposed method can improve the input/output quality and realize wide-range output regulation. The experimental results verified the conclusions and validate the proposed strategy.
