Abstract
We present a work in progress on a cloud based intelligent autopilot system for remote classrooms to improve the remote classroom experience through better social presence and personal interaction. This cloud based autopilot system connects remote classrooms through an easy-to-use autoconfiguring software interface. Rather than running complex software at the remote classroom location, our system connects the classrooms directly but monitors communications and acts as a Computational Intelligence system using a so-called Perceptual State Machine, otherwise known as a finite state machine. This Perceptual State Machine makes use of fuzzy classifiers as its transition functions. This paper describes the technical aspects of this cloud based solution, some of its features and reports our most recent model for development.
