Abstract :
This paper discusses issues related to facsimile service quality, summarizes technical points to be studied, and describes the results of a customer survey. It also presents a new method for objectively evaluating customer ratings of facsimile images containing scan line errors. A simple mathematical model is proposed that can predict the mean opinion score for image quality with respect to the scan line errors, with high confidence
