In order to improving the landscape water quality which deteriorated by water isolated, an engineering measure was implemented. The improvement effect of water quality was analyzed with the calculation results of flow field, whose mathematical hydrodynamic model, which under the different operation cases, was solved using the finite volume method. The results show that the engineering measure is able to achieve water flowing slowly and improve the capability of the water quality exchange in the whole test area. During the test period, the average turbidity of the water decreases by 4.5 NTU, the average DO increases by 39.1% and the average CODMn decreases by 25%. Moreover the impact of temperature variation on the water body quality is reduced, and the stability of the water quality is improved.
